Weyward by Emilia Hart

I had a bit of a dry spell and I found it hard to read a book. I got a couple of books from the library that were uninspiring and I was listening to a series of books on BorrowBox and Libby. Then I saw a sponsored ad on Facebook for Weyward on Kindle for 99p! I had to get it as it was on my wish list!  I'm so glad I downloaded it. To begin with, I thought that it was quite slow and not my thing, but I soon got hooked. The story revolves around 3 characters in different eras all struggling with the same struggles in life. They have common traits because they are related and as their stories unfold they realise they all have the same power that could be a strength of their undoing!  I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a period/historical novel. The characters are from the 1600s, the 1940s and the modern day. There is also a thriller quality to the book. It was on tenterhooks towards the end! It's also great if you're not a big reader as the chapters a quite short....
